Step 3 is really unclear. One leg ends up the wrong direction when you open it up. I got it to work by placing both legs right side out and sewing one seam then flipping inside out to do the other. After sewing the crutches are we supposed to match the tops on the other side. Will this cause creases to form? However, the side seams from the front and back should match up perfectly when sewn together, without any creases.
